OSHA compliance
doesn’t have to be difficult, or expensive. Unfortunately, for many
organizations OSHA compliance is not considered a core competency.
The regulations are numerous, sometimes confusing and usually not
taken seriously until an employee is hurt or an OSHA auditor arrives
at your door.
Each year OSHA
assesses fines in excess of $155 Million for
non-compliance issues. Don’t be caught in non-compliance. The
risk is great and the cost of compliance is small.
The Carlyle
Consulting Group is an authorized OSHA trainer industry. We have on staff OSHA specialists that are
able to conduct both 10 hour and 30-hour OSHA training classes.
In addition to OSHA training here is a list of other
OSHA related
services we provide:
OSHA Record

OSHA Record
Keeping
Starting January
1, 2002, OSHA’s record keeping requirements have changed. Even if
you are familiar with OSHA’s old requirements, these changes could
result in thousands of dollars in fines and an unwanted OSHA
presence. The good news is that the new requirements are not
difficult to implement, once you know what OSHA expects. We can
help you weed through all the confusing state and federal
regulation. We can even automate the record keeping process for
your organization.
Safety Plan
Development
OSHA requires that
all employers have a written, effective safety program that
addresses hazards specific to the employers operations. Putting a
plan of this nature together usually means long hours of sifting
through confusing regulations. The Carlyle Consulting Group
solves this problem by consulting with our clients and developing
just the right plan that keeps you in compliance. This safety plan
can serve as the foundation for decreased employee injuries,
workman’s comp costs and increased productivity, at a cost
less than you might expect!
Pre-audit
inspections
Recent surveys
performed by the Carlyle Consulting Group find that most building
managers are ill equipped to successfully complete an OSHA audit.
In fact 78% of the facility managers surveyed were missing
one or more of OSHA’s basic compliance requirements. Obviously the
best time to recognize and correct safety issues is before an
OSHA audit. In fact, employers are required to conduct regular
safety inspections and keep those inspections reports on file for
five years.
The Carlyle
Consulting Group can conduct on-site inspections of your
facility and offer suggestions based on the issues OSHA is likely to
issue citations. Additionally, if an on-site audit is not feasible,
we can provide you with a comprehensive audit package that your
employees can complete in-house.
On-Site Training
OSHA
regulations state that employers are required to provide employees
comprehensive and specific training that addresses hazards in
the workplace. This training must be performed on a regular basis
and records of training must be kept for five years. The Carlyle
Consulting Group develops and supplies self-administered training
packages for our clients. We are OSHA authorized trainers and
can provide both 10 hour and 30-hour OSHA cards. If preferred, we
can provide targeted on-site training for our clients as
well. Either way, we can take the worry and confusion off your
shoulders.
Post Inspection OSHA Negotiations
Upon completion
of an OSHA inspection, you will receive a package which includes
detailed information about the auditor’s inspection including any
citations or fines that were levied. Employers are strongly
encouraged to request a follow up meeting with OSHA. Your goal is
to eliminate or reduce the fines. The Carlyle Consulting
Group is available to perform this post inspection negotiation for
you. This one decision can save you thousands of dollars in fines!
